General

Do I need to book in advance?

You are able to buy tickets at the event, however we expect Meet Vincent van Gogh to sell out and therefore recommend that you book your tickets online in advance. Each visitor is given a time slot for their entry to the exhibit to keep it from getting too crowded inside, and to make sure each visitor enjoys Meet Vincent as much as possible.

Cash or card?

Cash and card payments are both accepted for ticket purchases made at the Experience.

How long does the visit last?

We recommend you stay in the exhibit for approximately 90 minutes to fully enjoy the experience, but there’s no need to rush- stay as long as you want!

What language is the audio guide in?

The audio guide is available in seven languages; English, Spanish, Korean, French, Italian, Portuguese and German.

Visiting Meet Vincent van Gogh

What can I touch?

Visitors are encouraged to use and touch all elements of the Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience. However, please ensure that you treat all installations and set work, as well as your fellow visitors, with respect.

Eating and drinking

Apologies, no food or drink is allowed inside the experience. Refreshments can be purchased on site.

Can I bring in my purse/bag, luggage, or pram?

Unfortunately, due to limited space within the exhibition, all bags including suitcases and backpacks larger than 30cm H x 30cm W x 15cm D will need to be stored in the lockers provided. Baby bags and handbags are fine within the exhibition. Small lockers are £2 and large lockers are £3. Prams need to be stored in the cloak room.

Is there security at the Experience?

Security checks may take place on entry. These checks include (but are not limited to) bag checks. Please note there will be CCTV inside Meet Vincent van Gogh.

Can I smoke at the venue?

Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.

Can I borrow a wheelchair?

Manual wheelchairs are available for use at the exhibition, free of charge. Please note wheelchairs are subject to availability. Unfortunately, Meet Vincent van Gogh is unable to provide staff assistance around the exhibition for wheelchair users.

Is there an induction loop?

Yes, the audio guide is an essential part of Meet Vincent van Gogh, we therefore recommend that people with hearing impairments utilise our hearing loop system in order to become fully immersed in the story.

Tickets

If I buy a ticket online, do I need to enter the experience at the time shown on my ticket?

You can come to the exhibition at any point between the times shown on your ticket, not before or after. You can stay in the exhibition as long as you want.
